Maroon 5
LOS ANGELES, CA  [Thursday Aug.19.2004]  /1075zrock.com/ -- Maroon 5 has selected the next single from the group's hit album, "Songs About Jane." The fourth single to be released is called "Sunday Morning." The song is featured on the 2003 soundtrack for the movie, "Love Actually," along with another Maroon 5 number, "Sweetest Goodbye."

Maroon 5 drummer Ryan Dusick tells MTV, "'Sunday Morning' is probably the oldest song on the record." He says, "It was the first song that is kinda in the style that the record became. We were a different band before we wrote that song. It was definitely influenced by Stevie Wonder."

Dusick adds that the lyrics represented new territory for singer Adam Levine. Says Dusick, "It was a new step for him [Adam], because he kinda wrote it about something very personal to him and an experience that he'd just had, and it kinda shaped the direction of his lyrics, based on personal experiences."
